   Steve's associated with Texas, but was born in Ft. Monroe, VA

VERMONT - Grace Potter - Love Me Not. 
  She had a blast at Sonic Lunch at Michigan Theatre on June 18

UTAH - Neon Trees - Animals
  Slim pickens in Utah, not a lot of big cities for bands  to develop.

TEXAS - Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride And Joy
  Some great electric blues in the mix

TENNESEE - Tina Turner - Proud Mary
   From the small town of Nutbush

SOUTH DAKOTA - Shawn Colvin - Round Of Blues
  Associated with Austin, Texas and New York City, but born in Vermilion, SD

SOUTH CAROLINA - NeedToBreathe - More Time
  Coming to Meadow Brook on August 30th

RHODE ISLAND - Belly - Freed The Tree
  #1 song back in 1993 from a band of very nice people.

OHIO - The Pretenders - Talk Of The Town
   Well, at least one member, Chrissie Hynde, is from Akron

NORTH DAKOTA - Jonny Lang - Lie To Me
  We spelled Jonny wrong on the computer,  We apologize.   Yer darn tootin' 

NORTH CAROLINA - Ben Folds Five - Doctor My Eyes
   Great cover of Jackson Brown from the Chapel Hill trio

NEW YORK  - Beastie Boys - Sabotage

NEW MEXICO - The Shins - Simple Song
   All the way from Albuquerque!  They moved to Portland, OR

  Theo's playing next Thursday's Bank Of Ann Arbor's Sonic Lunch at Michigan Theater.   

MASSACHUSETTES - J. Geils Band - Freeze Frame
  They were bigger in SE Michigan than at home in Boston!

MARYLAND - David Byrne - Everybody Laughs
  The Talking Heads front man graduated high school in Suburban Baltimore 

MAINE - Patty Griffin - Heavenly Day (Studio A2)
  The veteran of 6 Ann Arbor Folk Festivals for The Ark !

LOUISIANA - Jon Batiste - Big Money
  He's a member of a New Orleans family music dynasty

KANSAS - Melissa Etheridge - Bring Me Some Water
  The blinstering rocker from the fierce Melissa Etheridge

IOWA - Field Division - Happy Together
  The toughest state on this list, I found a decent indie artist with a familiar cover

INDIANA - John Mellencamp - Pink Houses
  Ain't That America.  Not many things have changed in 40 years. 

KENTUCKY - Cage The Elephant - Aint' No Rest For The Wicked
   YES !  IT WAS KY THAT WE PLAYED OUT OF ORDER !  Dan in Saline got it !

ILLINOIS - Brigitte Calls Me Baby - Slumber Party
  Up-and-comers from Chicago
